Whether searching for a loved one or doing genealogy research, looking into local history or shoring up family records, obituaries are invaluable resources to have available. They are records of personal history, often containing information and tidbits that cannot be found in official government records. Obituaries provide windows into the lives of real people, and many times add context to family narratives.
Search by name of the deceased, cemetery, or newspaper the obituary was originally placed in. Photo copies of individual obituaries can be requested for $5 each.
